BALI / INDONESIA
9th September 2016
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Alrighty then, this morning after our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still only showing wave height breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the 1-2ft class. We were hoping to see a forecasted new swell start to show, but not yet.
So as it shows in our latest photo gallery we headed up to the beach breaks of Legian to see if we could find some fun waves, or at least have a splash. We turned up just as the tide was starting to run in to find only a 1-2 foot close out happening. But as the tide kept running in the waves did improve and push up to the 2-3ft with a sometime bigger freak sets and a few long rides
Weather wise today it’s been hot ! Right now at 5.45PM the mercury is still on 31 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction has been coming out of the SE all day with gusts up to 12knot+
Ok friends that us for now but fingers crossed we will be seeing some bigger and better waves here in Bali. So stay tuned to the original Bali surf report. Oh yeah I’ve also got more fresh G-Land and Mentawai Island photos and reports to load up for ya’s shortly.
I’ve also been getting some email from concerned holiday makers over the news paper selling crap about banning cold Bintangs in Bali. For all our friends, this debate happens every year for years gone by. It does sell some news papers but that’s about it, cheers !
