BALI / INDONESIA
28th November 2016
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in ’99) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s most popular tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok firstly I want to give a huge thanks to the 28 baliwaves supporters who chipped in for our new camera campaign helping us to raise AU$1,405.00 This is almost enough to get us 1 new camera body but we were also hoping to be able to buy a new lens as well. So with some of the stuff we still have left over we are hoping to get enough to reach our goals by raffling off 2 new surf boards, a 7 day stay with baliwaves.com including daily surf trips etc, plus a 7 day stay in a private villa in Balian. This is for starters and I’m hoping to get more prizes as we go.
It’s going to be AU$50.00 a ticket with a maximum of 70 tickets so that makes pretty good odds for the prizes on offer. Contact me for more details and show us some support if you can. You know we are a little more than just a surf report website, we do our best to get you the highest quality photos from all over the island. Plus keeping you up to date with the local surfing industry news and events.
Alrighty as it shows in today’s photo gallery Ketut was back on deck so I had him take a run up the coast to Canggu. Wave height was almost maxing out with 3-5 footers on all 3 of the main breaks in the area. The right handers on Pererenan were the delivering the goods but plenty of surfers and plenty of testosterone out there amoungst it. The Sandbar section had a few waves in between the bigger sets and only a handful os surfers due to the wild current / rip.
Here in Tuban the Outer reefs were also firing through some nice waves in the 2-4ft+ range on all sections between Kuta Reef to Airport Right. Surfing conditions improved once the wind swung back to the SE after the early morning NE wind.
I’ve also thrown in a couple of frames from the baliwaves Surf Cam that stands sentry over the Impossible’s line up and it looked like there were some nice waves down there early this morning before the tide filled right in.
Weather wise today it’s been another mostly sunny day with a midday temperature around 34C. Wind direction now at 5.00PM is coming out of the SSE at 5-9knot.
Tomorrow see’s a New Moon rising so we will be seeing some bigger tidal differences over the next 3-5 days.
Ok friends we hope everyone is doing great out there where ever you are and hopefully already planning another surfing holiday back to Bali, take care.
Hey an I just got a heads up from the big chief at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp and he has told me to tell you that if anyone wants to make an early booking for G-land in 2017 he will give you 3 DAYS FREE STAY.
