BALI / INDONESIA
1st – 2nd December 2016
Hello everyone and thanks for tunin ginto the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest nes and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s most popular tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok firstly I want to give a huge thanks to the 28 baliwaves supporters who chipped in for our new camera campaign helping us to raise AU$1,405.00 This is almost enough to get us 1 new camera body but we were also hoping to be able to buy a new lens as well. So with some of the stuff we still have left over we are hoping to get enough to reach our goals by raffling off 2 new surf boards, a 7 day stay with baliwaves.com including daily surf trips etc, plus a 7 day stay in a private villa in Balian, 3 day stay in G-Land. This is for starters and I’m hoping to get more prizes as we go Contact us
It’s going to be AU$50.00 a ticket with a maximum of 65 tickets so that makes pretty good odds for the prizes on offer. Contact me for more details and show us some support if you can. You know we are a little more than just a surf report website, we do our best to get you the highest quality photos from all over the island. Plus keeping you up to date with the local surfing industry news and events Contact us
Ok so as it shows in today’s 40+ photo gallery we had a lovely little bump in wave height that left us with some perfect little head to well over head high waves over on Bali’s East Coast yesterday the 2nd. We also surfed this place on the 1st and there were a few waves as well up to head high but over run with learners on the day. How ever yesterday was a different ball game and even old Slim managed to get a couple of nice ones. Lefts and rights were on off with a clean off shore wind out of the WNW that lasted through until 11.00AM when it shifted more to the WSW and cross / off shore.
Weather wise it was a mostly overcast type of day with a few sunny patches through out the day then more cloud and few drops of rain late afternoon. Even though it was mostly cloudy it was still hot and humid (as always here on the equator) so alwaves remember to put that sunscreen / zinc on if your getting in the water.
This morning the 3rd and it’s just gone 6.30AM and it’s not looking too bad outside, light wind if any and a fair amount of blue sky so let the games begin. Stay tuned for more news and up dates through our Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the morning. Sorry I can’t give the game away just yet.
