BALI / INDONESIA
18th June 2017
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (showing off a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week and our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions. From right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Well yesterday as we mentioned via our Twitter feed we were done on the Southern end of the island back at Indonesia’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. We timed it for the bottom of the low tide, seeing as though it was only a 1.0mtr tide and hoping to catch a few tube rides on the Racetrack. As it shows in our latest photo gallery we were pretty close to the mark. Wave height was in the 2-4ft+ range with a strong off shore wind that kicked in around 9.30AM. Crowd wise it looked as though things were settling down at Uluwatu or everyone was hung over with only 30 surfers in the water. Then by 11.00AM there would have been around 70 surfers scattered from Temple’s all the way up to the Racetrack.
Weather wise it was mostly overcast yesterday with early morning rain, we did start to get more sun shine from midday and through out the afternoon.
This morning the 19th and right now at 5.30AM there’s some light rain still going on at the momemt but hopefully it will bugger off once the sun comes up. Stay in touch and I’ll keep ya’s up dated through out the morning.
