BALI / INDONESIA
20th – 21st August 2017
Good morning folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week and our latest news and nthe best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Alright so as you have already seen in our latest photo gallery we thought we’d take a hit on wave quality for a trade in crowd numbers. By heading over to the East Coast to Keramas. As it shows the wind was already pretty fresh on shore out of the SE. Being on the East Coast Keramas is usually blown out by 9.00AM except on rare occasions when the Trade Wind kicks in a little later. But there were some fun waves in the 2-4ft class and a few clean inside sections to be had. We were not alone that’s for sure with around 20 other surfers in the line up and a one VIP female surfer and 5 or 6 times World Champion Stephanie Gilmore. It was easy to see how she was a veteran World Champ with a fast flowing aggressive style and hard hitting maneuvers.
Weather wise over on the East side of Bali the sun was out and it was warm to say the least on the black sanded beach of Keramas.
Yesterday we also loaded you up a new G-land surf report, a new Nias surf report, a new Mentawai Island surf report along with a return of our baliwaves resident writer and story teller Colin Decosta (latest News). Ok so have a good one what ever you have on this morning and keep an eye on our Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the day for more news and up dates.
Another important issue for the locals here in Bali especially with winter going down in the Southern Hemisphere and the season for super flu in Australia. Please don’t bring flu’s and virus strains with you on holidays. Make sure you get to the Doctor first before getting on the plane and infecting all the passengers and then maybe infecting everyone you come in contact with here in Bali. You wouldn’t go to work with the Flu so don’t bring it to Bali please.
