BALI / INDONESIA
8th – 9th September 2017
Hallo everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping it real since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination called Bali.
Ok so here’s 90 odd photos that Ketut smashed off yesterday the 8th up at the Gu. I’ve also let Tut have his way with the editing so I hope ya’s like what you’ve got. Wave height was only in the 2-3ft class with a couple of slightly bigger head high waves but with some nice shape and a little bit of push.
Today the 9th and we were up early and on the way up the West Coast hoping to find a little more size up at Balian. FYI Balian picks up the most swell in all of Indonesia on any average day. But we were fighting the SE Trade wind all the way as she was up early here in Kuta and strong all the way right up the coast. But at Balian when we arived at 7.20AM conditions were still clean and glassy with only 7 surfers in the water. Not for long though, with the SE’r finding it’s way up there by 8.30AM. Wave height was in the 2-4ft class and there was still some fun to be had.
Weather wise it was a mostly overcast morning with the sun busting through by midday.
Ok folks that’s me for now as the guys are temping me with a couple of cold beers and the promise of sushimi (bait). Tune in again tomorrow for our Sunday session.
Another important issue for the locals here in Bali especially with winter going down in the Southern Hemisphere and the season for super flu in Australia. Please don’t bring flu’s and virus strains with you on holidays. Make sure you get to the Doctor first before getting on the plane and infecting all the passengers and then maybe infecting everyone you come in contact with here in Bali. You wouldn’t go to work with the Flu so don’t bring it to Bali please.
