As the Best West Java Surfing Competition presented by Quiksilver races down towards the finish line, the Day 5 action kicked into overdrive with the competitors battling fiercely heat-by-heat for that coveted finals berth, with mere fractions of a point making the difference between advancement and disappointment.
Round 4 Action Suspended in Windy Conditions on Day 4 of Best West Java Surfing Competition Presented by Quiksilver

Today’s Round 4 man-on-man action on Day 4 of the Best West Java Surfing Competition presented by Quiksilver was suspended at the conclusion of Heat 4 due to the strong onshore winds that arrived quickly at the mid point of the 30 minute heat. The competitors were told to come back to the beach at 4 pm in hopes that the winds would subside and the competition could resume, but continued strong winds left Contest Director Quiksilver’s Simon MacGregor no choice but to cancel the contest for the day.
