Good morning surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves. Not a lotta change out there this morning when I made my surf recon at 6.45am. Wave height has had another slight increase in size. Actual wave height on the Outer Reefs was in the 1-3ft+ range with the bigger waves coming through on Middle Reef. Wind direction was coming from the NW at 3-5knot and on/cross-shore along the West coast of Bali. I slept in a bit this morning but anyone who was up for the dawny woulda scored some clean off-shore wind. You see, when I first woke up the wind was coming outta the ENE and off-shore. So I started to unwrap my new boards but I didn’t realize just how good a job I had done packing them. Needless to say by the time I did free them up the wind had swung to the NW. I’m gunna be keeping my fingers crossed for it to swing back off-shore later this afternoon.
Down along Kuta Beach today and tomorrow the B.S.A along with the J.S.A are holding their trials for an upcoming contest, Indonesia V’s Japan. Outside weather conditions are shaping up for another warm and humid one. I’d say we can easily expect the temperature to reach up into the low 30’s while the humidity is in the high 90’s. I haven’t checked the water temp yet… but you can count on it being around 22-24C and no need for wetsuits.
Ok crew that’s about me for now, if there are any dramatic changes around the ocean today I’ll fill ya’s in later on. For now I’m gunna get stuck into my email back log. Feel free to drop us one if you have any queries on surfing or touring around Bali. Likewise if ya need a cool, cheap, clean and surfer friendly place to call “home base Bali” So for now have a good one and make sure ya start organising your 2006 Indo surf mission real soon, why wait for someone else to tell ya how good it is over here in Bali.
Best Regards from the island of the Gods
Slim.
