**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Thanks for dropping by crew, and it is time for the arvo rundown on Bali’s surf and weather conditions. Well I made it down to Uluwatu by 9.00am. With the tide starting to run in wave height was hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections in the 2-4ft range. Surfing conditions were not too bad, pretty clean and glassy waves coming through for the dozen or so surfers spread out from the Temple to the Track. The wind stayed light and variable up until around 11.15 when it beefed up from the WSW @ around 4-7knot. That’s about the time I packed up. I also received a sms from Becky (Surfergirl team rider), who was over at serangan on the east coast of Bali, reporting good conditions and 3-4ft waves. Right now at 4.00pm the wind is still mainly coming outta the W-WSW @ 4-7knot. The sky is filled with high, thin cloud, turning slightly overcast. I’m sure hoping for some more clean conditions again tomorrow morning. Changing dollars to Rupiah: –1US$=Rp9,050– –1AU$=Rp6,500– –1NZ$=Rp5,880– –1EU$=10,885– Ok then tune in again in the morning and I’ll fill ya in on whats going down before I take off for a surf. Best Regards from Your Bali.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hey Crew ! well there was something missing when my eye’s opened up this morning at 5.45am. It took me about 15 seconds to realize that there was no wind or rain hammering down on the roof. 15 minutes later I was down the beach checking surfing conditions on the Outer Reefs. Wind direction was only just detectable, but all the same coming lightly off-shore outta the ENE. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left also seems to have increased a notch, up into the 1-2ft range. The tide is currently still dropping towards the Low water for another hour or two. So Middle Reef is the pick of the Outers and is drawing in the most wave action. Me, well I’ll be heading down to Uluwatu to hang out as soon as I get this report filed for ya’s. So make sure ta drop by the baliwaves later this afternoon when I’ve loaded up some fresh photos of the days action at Ulu.
One more very important thing before I go dept: A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Ok then have a good one what eva ya got on today and Best Regards from the No.1 surfing holiday destination on the planet, Bali.
