BALI / INDONESIA
20th – 21st July 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so for starters we are very happy to report that there have been no more Earth Tremors rocking Bali since 4 days ago, and fingers crossed lets hope it stays that way. Just out of interest if you check the daily history of Earth Quakes / Tremors in Indonesia you would find them happening multiple times daily right across the archipelago. Well most days anyways.
Yesterday the 20th and our team was down on the South end of Bali at our mechanical left hand set up. As it shows in our latest photo gallery wave height was in the 3-4ft+ range with a clean and tidy off shore wind on it. Crowd wise it was ranging around the 15-20 mark with plenty of waves coming through.
Today the 21st and our 7.00am surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing similar sized waves as yesterday with 3-4ft+ breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Again the tide was still a touch to low for KR and AL but Middle Reef was delivering some solid rides. Surfing conditions were clean with the ESE Trade wind just starting to kick in.
Weather wise outside right now at 1.40pm we have a mostly clear blue sky with more cloud looking down towards the South. Temperature wise it’s still a warm 28C with the Humidity on 69% and the UV index at 5. Wind direction is ESE with some strong gusts up to 42km/h.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is saying that we should see a significant size increase between sun rise and sun set with the wind maybe a touch lighter out of the E-ESE.
NB; The RipCurl Padang Padang Cup is currently on HIGH ALERT for a possible start on the 22nd of July. Time is running out with the waiting period ending on the 31st of July. So fingers crossed we get the waves and the contest run. As I mentioned in our Surf Forecast / Surf Report section there is also a slightly bigger swell in transit for the 23rd – 24th
That’s just about us for today, we hope your having a good weekend where ever you may be, if not grab a ticket to Bali.
