BALI SURF & WEATHER REPORT
9th June 2020 (Bali Corona Virus)
Firstly we do know from first hand experience how tough it is here in Bali with absolutely no support other than friends and family. We would also like to offer a free promotional service to any other small outfits / businesses that are surf related here in Indonesia and Australia. So in turn we have told all our sponsors that we will be waving any fee’s until things are getting back to normal again. Please contact us to see if your eligible for free promotion on baliwaves. Special thanks to our good friends that have kicked in some dollars to help my family and I keep food on our table, lights on and baliwaves.com being able to help keep you in the loop.
baliwaves.com is happy to be able to give our friends at JOWA SURF a little love with some promo on us. As we mention above times are tough and we are here to help any small local business with a little more awareness through baliwaves.com Contact us for your free promotion
We are also glad to continue helping out our friends @Projectnasi with non stop promo awareness on the baliwaves and would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to the cause. There are quite a few organisations here helping provide food to people in Bali and all doing a fantastic job.
Today’s latest photo gallery takes us back to Uluwatu in August of 2011. The waves of Uluwatu have always been timeless and never changing. From Temple’s through the Main Peak and down through the tubes of the low tide Racetrack. Uluwatu is Bali’s surfing arena that put Indonesia on the surfing map back in the 70’s. Uluwatu is a must visit location on your next visit to Bali, such an awesome place both in and out of the water.
Today here in Bali I haven’t had a chance to get down to the beach, but I will be heading down soon to check my paint work my son and I did yesterday on our small canoe, single outrigger. Yesterday afternoon I can say that there was quite a few out at Middle Reef on the low tide and likewise at Airport left before the tide got too low.
it has been a typical Bali type day so far with plenty of blue sky, still hot and sunny now at 2.35pm. Early morning conditions had a light and variable breeze before the ESE-SE Trade wind kicked in late morning. But same like yesterday it’s not howling like last week, only around the 7-12knot class. The next tide today will be a 0.3mtr Low at 6.27pm.
Swell forecast department is looking like we should see a spike in size on or around the 10th – 11th. Then another slightly bigger swell arriving the 14th – 15th. The further out on the crystal ball a more moderate system smacking into Bali on or around the 17th.
Nb: Officially all beaches remain closed here on the island of Bali, while rising numbers of Corona Virus continue. But from reports I’ve had and seen on FB it would appear that many locations have un officially re opened. I think this would be fine and keep everyone happy. If only people would respect the “Social Distancing” rules in place.
