Hi folks and with a big drop in wave height and some fierce off shore Easterly wind today I have finally got a chance to catch up on a most of my back log of photos. Firstly yesterday the 27th we did take a run down to Uluwatu but with 2-3ft+ waves and strong on shore southerly wind blowing around the corner from the Temple I didn’t even get to open the camera box. We hung around at Uluwatu until midday hoping the wind would clean up the bumpy conditions, but not to be.
This current photo gallery was shot the day before on the 26th and as it shows there were some powerful waves and some equally powerful surfing going down at Uluwatu. A big contrast to yesterdays waves and conditions.
Today the 28th and my 9.00am surf check on the Outer reefs of South Kuta was showing only Airport Left was actually breaking. The tide had just passed through the top of the tide and the wind was howling out of the East. Nothing breaking on Kuta reef or Middle Reef and I’m sure it would have been blowing a gale at Airport Right.
I did get a guest report from our resident surf fitness guru Mr Clive Rodell who is currently surfing up at Balian. Clive said there was a clean and tidy window of waves up there early this morning with chest to well over head high waves. Only a handful of surfers in the water before the wind kicked in strong cross / on shore. He also assured me that the water quality was clean and clear.
Weather wise in South Kuta this morning as per our morning “Bali surf and weather video report” we posted on Facebook earlier. Pretty much just clear blue sky from sun up and now at 3.00pm it’s even better. Temperature wise it’s currently on 29C with the Humidity at 65% Wind direction is a gusty East at 15-20knot.
The next tide today will be a 0.3mtr Low at 3.59pm. We also have a New Moon rising in Bali tonight.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for even smaller waves but at least the Trade wind will be a more sedate 5-8knot out of the ESE.
Long Range Surf Forecast is tracking a couple more solid swells moving up the Indian Ocean and the tempo is going to be amping up through early July.
Ok thanks again for tuning in and stay tuned here on the original Bali surf and Weather report website.
