G’Day Bali people and welcome back to the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report) for the start of another surfing week on the countdown to Christmas 2022. Things, fingers crossed went pretty good yesterday for me getting my stitches pulled cleanly at our local clinic (Rp100K) and the Nurse commented on how such a good stitch up job was done. That’s a big win for my head space atm and everything on track to get back in that line up with you.
Alright sorry about that, this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in South Kuta was showing that promised little bump in wave height. In fact it was 2-4ft between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with the tide pretty much right on the top of the tide. Surfing conditions were clean enough with just a very light Northerly breeze. It was a little quiter than usual down the beach with plenty of evidence of World Cup Final Fever left behind.
So Ketut grabbed the camera and headed off back to the black sand beach. Arriving at 7.45am to find 2-4 footers with clean and glassy conditions as per his latest batch. Probably not quite as much swell getting into this side of the island with the swell direction more SW than South. Crowd wise, there wasn’t any. At the peak there was only 15 surfers in the water and surfing conditions stayed clean and tidy until around 9.30am. When the wind swung briefly to the East.
Weather wise right now at 2.00pm I can only see blue sky and the temperature reflects it at a very warm 32C. Humidity level is at 67% and the wind is in fact now out of the W-SW at 6-8knt.
The next tide in Bali today will be 2.2mtr High at 7.04pm.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is predicting to wave height to hold and maybe even just up an inch or two. Wave period drops another second to 14 and direction remains SW. Get out there early and reap the benefits of light and variable wind again before the Wet Season wind kicks in.
Ok crew have a good one what ever you have on today, hopefully your already on vacation and enjoying the break. That’s all from Ketut and I for now but we will try and get some reports and photos up before Chrissy.
