Hello awesome people and thanks for checking into the original Bali surf report website and infact the first surfing website 2nd website on line in all of Indonesia. Just for the record.
Yesterday the 8th we had a nice little light variable wind so we were all over it and headed over to the black sand beach. Arriving just on sun rise to find an empty line up and some fun 2-4 footers starting to show on the run out tide. It’s always a pretty good feeling paddling out into an empty line up and watching waves peel off up in front of you. So we took advantage of it and clocked a few up before we were joined by a few more surfers, the crowd actually peaked at 10 by 8.30am. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy as it shows in the photos before the ESE Trade wind started to kick in right on 9.00am as predicted.
Weather wise we had the classic Bali blue sky all day.
This morning the 9th and Ketut decided to take a run up our West Coast to one of our fav early morning locations, The Gu. Ketut phoned through (with photo evidence) calling 3-4 footers hitting the Sandbar with the usual 15-20 early morning risers in the water. The tide was running out so the main focus was on the Sandbar. Surfing conditions were clean with a light off shore Northerly wind. Now at 10.50am the ESE Tradey has kicked in so It won’t be long before Canggu is blown out. I also had a heads up from our “black sand” location with a friend calling a group(s) of 30 internationals from S Korea turning up..
Weather wise today here on the holiday island it’s another classic Bali style day. deep blue sky as far as I can see (South Kuta) with the temp currently on 28C at 10.51am, humidity is at 75%. Wind diection is in fact out of the ESE at 25km/h and will more than likely get a bit stronger through out the afternoon.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.72mtr High (Benoa) at 2.54pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the wave and wind models calling similar conditions again. Just a 1 second drop in the period and maybe a slight drop in wind strength.
