It was a punchy morning at Canggu today with solid 4 to 5 foot waves rolling in and some sets pushing even bigger. Ketut was on the beach from 7:30AM to 10AM for a quick shoot, and the swell had some proper push behind it. The offshore wind was blowing strong, keeping the faces clean and helping shape a few standout walls.
The river mouth had about 25 surfers out, and sandbar saw another 10, so the line-ups were busy but not packed shoulder to shoulder. A bit of rain came through early and the waves kept pumping through it all.
As of this arvo, Denpasar is sitting at 30°C, with scattered clouds and a bit of leftover heat from the morning. Winds are still from the southeast at 19 km/h, humidity is 69%, and there’s a bit more rain likely into the evening.
Remaining tides for today: High tide at 9:51PM, peaking at 1.7 metres. Tomorrow, high tide at 9:26AM at 2.3 metres and low tide at 4:05PM at 0.4 metres
The forecast has been pretty spot on — swell stayed in the 1.8 to 2 metre range today with periods around 16 seconds. Tuesday is looking a little smaller, with wave heights sitting around 1.3 to 1.6 metres, and easing further through midweek.
But from Thursday, we’re back on the upswing. A fresh swell is due to arrive, building into Thursday and Friday, where we’ll likely see consistent some solid waves again. Morning offshores are sticking around too, so it’s looking like another good stretch ahead.
