East Coast Bali Surf Report – Tuesday 3rd March 2026
Ketut was on the East Coast early this morning from 6:30am through until around 11am and was greeted with solid 5-6ft sets pushing through. It was cloudy with rain about for most of the session, but the offshore winds were doing their job and keeping the wave faces clean. The tide was on the lower side early before beginning to fill in, and as the water pushed back over the reef the waves started lining up nicely. With only around 15 surfers in the water there was plenty of room to move and pick off the better sets.
Even with the rain rolling through, the quality was there for those who made the early effort. Offshore winds held steady through the morning which helped keep things organised, and the smaller crowd made it a relaxed lineup compared to what we often see when the swell hits this size. Traffic getting down and back was smooth which always makes the early alarm a bit easier.
Weather & Tides
Weather wise right now in Bali it’s sitting on 30C under overcast skies with humidity around 80 percent. Feels warmer at around 36C with a strong west wind currently blowing at close to 29kmh. Rain is expected to move through again this evening.
Tide wise for Wednesday 4th March we have a low at 5:09am at 0.2m, pushing up to a 2.4m high at 11:24am, before easing back to a 0.4m low at 5:12pm and then filling again to a 2.5m high at 11:29pm. With that early morning low, expect the reef to be showing early before improving as the tide fills in through mid morning.
Surf Forecast
Surf forecast wise there is still some size in the water over the next couple of days with swell around the 1.8 to 2.2 metre range from the SSW holding decent period. Winds look generally westerly and at times strong, which will favour the East Coast again while putting pressure on the West Coast spots. Tomorrow morning is shaping up as another solid option before the wind strength increases further through the day.
