****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Good morning friends and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for todays rundown on whats happening surf and weather wise here on your No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. And popular indeed it has been so far this season.
Ok first of all sorry no report yesterday as it was family day with my wife’s birthday, and a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. Anyway wave height was pretty small around the island anyway so we didn’t miss a real lot. However this mornings surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing the start of our new swell. At 6.45am wave height was still only showing in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left but by 8.30am it was showing in the 2-3ft range and should keep creeping up with the peak through late afternoon. No shortage of surfers on all main sections at the time I was on the beach.
Surfing conditions between Kuta and Uluwatu this morning are pretty well perfect with a straight off-shore wind coming out of the E-ESE @ 10-12knot
Our sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was also calling for a good day of waves for the lucky buggers at G-land. 6ft of swell breaking from the bottom of Kongs to the top end of Speedies. reportedly only around 15 surfers in the water at any one time. We have finally started to receive photos from the crew at G-Land Surf Camp with the arrival of their in camp photographer and as soon as I get this report tidied up I’ll start to give ya’s a look at some of the waves the boys and girls have been scoring.
Our sms surf report from Lakey Peak over on the island of Sumbawa was calling wave height also just starting to show over there with a solid 3ft or head high wave hitting the A frame of Lakey Peak. Overcast weather but hot and steamy all the same with at least 30 surfers on the Peak but with a good friendly vibe.
Tidal info for today is calling for a 2.2mtr High @ 9.00am and then a 0.7mtr Low around 3.00pm.
Weather wise outside we’ve got another good holi type day coming on. Blue sky and heading for a top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius. Water temperature around 22 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find; — 1US$=Rp10,000 — 1AU$=Rp7,400 — 1EU$=Rp13,500 —
Ok crew check back in shortly and check out the sick photos from G-Land and make sure ya stay tuned to the one and only original baliwaves.com Bali surf report website (since’99)
