Once again you have to follow the By Pass Road to Sanur, but about half way there from Kuta you will see a mega wholesale store called the Makro just before the Makro on the opposite side of the road there is a new unsealed limestone road(white rock) turn in there and it will take down to the waves.

coming to Bali at Easter as couple of novice surfers. Where is the best place to get consistent manageable, not too crowded waves and good accomodation?

Pennie says
Can I book in for a day surfing?? Am in Bali now until 25th march
J says
Serangan is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. You cannot surf or get to the beach. We tried to get a surf there today, but all roads are closed and are fenced off. All locals say you’re not allowed in anymore because they are working on a ‘project’. Apparently they are building the entire island into a luxury resort.

So no more surf, warungs and oldskool style chilling in serangan anymore. A chapter closed. Sad, but good memories!!!
