Hello hello and thanks big time for your time. I was up early this morning, its what I can’t help doing. As soon as I stepped outside to wake up my dogs the smell of rain was thick, then boom down she came and I’m talking cats and dogs. Then carried on for a couple more hours here in South Kuta and causing flooding all over the island.

But it didn’t stop our team from scoring some more perfect waves again. Good to see this last swell still providing some super fun and clean lines bending up to Indonesia. As it shows today’s photo gallery wave height was still only in a super fun chest to over head high class. On first arrival the wind was cross / off shore and still raining. Maybe 15 surfers in the water. But with the average early conditions at least half of the 15 bailed out. Leaving just a handful in the water when the waves glassed off again.

1st April
Early Monday morning the swell was hitting Tland at 6 – 8ft, around double over head on the sets but a steady south wind was blowing across the waves creating some bumps on the face of the waves. By 9.00 the wind had eased a bit and swung more to the south east making the waves smoother with the offshore. the mountain at Tland was the best take off spot with the wave drawing off the reef. By lunch time the winds had pretty much died off making great waves throughout Tland reef. The tide filled in with the higher tide in the afternoon but people were still get plenty of waves especially
2nd April 2024
Tuesday there was a lot of tiny storm activity creating squalls blowing through the Tland lineup for short periods creating bumpy faces at times but when the weather have clear patches it would glass off making the waves quite fun. Swell was a little down to the day before around 4-6ft, head to head and a half high with the middle of the day good at all the take off spots along Tland. As the tide filled due the later half of the day Tland was pretty much to full to surf. https://rote-surf-resort.com

Weather wise right now here in South Kuta and I’m seeing a lot of blue sky down to the SE from here. The temp is on 28C at 1.23pm, humidity is at 83%. Wind direction is now WNW and predicted to swing to the South this arvo.

Weather Alert. Kicking in tomorrow we have another Tropical M/F’r forming under Bali and towards the East. This MFr is going to blow in some fresh Westerly wind across Indo with FA swell attached. Should be blown out and back to “change of Seasons” again by next Weds or so.

Ok, as most of you know I’ve been through some health stuff from late last year. It was so good to be permitted a break from the treatments and get back with my Family for some deep recovery that I badly needed. But that time has run out and I must return to Oz tonight and start some treatments to get rid of any left overs inside me. It’s going to be rough but I’m the son of an old Soldier and should be Ok. Ketut will be running the operations while I’m away and I’ll be over in Oz waiting for him to send me the daily reports and photos for me to load up. I’m going to need a few days to adjust to the climate, treatments and being out of Bali and Family but the show will go on. So stay tuned and keep up the love and support please.
