Lualemba Bungalow Resort
Rote Surf Report
3 – 12 April
The 3rd April was a classic 3-4 ft day, head high waves with slight off shore winds. Guests staying at Lualemba Bungalow Resort were stoked with these conditions for 3 hours in the morning and 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon. The next few days after the swell had dropped away with northerly winds so the best place to surf was Boa at around 2 ft, waist high. By the 8th April rote island had turned into lake Indian with hardly a ripple. Lualemba Bungalow Resort guests gave their surfboards a rest and headed out on their rental bikes chasing waterfalls at Oefemba and going to Nol that is Indonesias most southern landmark.
On the 10th April with no swell in sight the guests went sailing on TeAila exclusive to Lualemba Bungalow Resort guests to Ndana island to snorkel and just chill. The winds were perfect easterly trades at 15 knots and a good sign that the new dry season is here on Rote island. Another flat day 11th April guests relaxed by the natural swimming pool at Lualemba Bungalow Resort as this was the coolest place around Nemberala with it’s wonderful gardens and super green grass. Today the 12 April surf had bumped up to knee to waist high on the push of the tide mid morning with a steady south east trade wind but as the tide filled in the waves disappeared.
