****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hello folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves for the latest news on todays surfing and weather conditions from your favourite holiday escape destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was sadly, but as expectedly showing a distinctive drop in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Not much out there for the boys today with only Airport left showing a waist to chest high wave. Nothing breaking on Kuta Reef or Middle Reef with this mornings 2.4mtr High Tide smoothering the reefs. Airports did look surfable and fun for a get wet type surf but that’s about it. Maybe when the tide runs back out for this afternoons 0.3mtr Low tide Middle Reef might have a smallie or two. Scotto hit the road for Uluwatu around 8 o’clock this morning and phoned through to say wave height was still hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections in the 2-3ft+ sector (chest to head high plus). So when Scott gets back from Ulu I’ll load you up some new photos from down there along with his full report on Uluwatu today.
Surfing conditions are ideal between Kuta and Uluwatu today with the off-shore ESE-SE Tradewind kicking in around 8.30am.
Our daily sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was telling me that G-land is the place to be. Wave height over in East Java at the ever famous long left hander is still showing in the 3-5ft range (up to double head high). With a total of 6 surfers scattered down the reef at 8.00am….. Drop us a line if you want us to influence the owner of the G-Land Surf Camp for an extended 10% discount into G-land.
Weather wise here in the Tuban / Kuta area of Bali it’s been fine and sunny since day break with the midday temperature now sitting around the 30 degree Celsius mark. While further down South in the Bukit area there were some serious looking clouds brewing with a certainty of morning rain. The water temp along Bali’s West Coast is a perfect for a swim @ 23 degree’s Celsius.
If your planning a trip to Bali this year (and I know you are !!) feel free to drop me an email if you want a helping hand organising anything. Ok crew drop back by later this afternoon if you want a close up, full detail look at the waves down at Uluwatu today.
