****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
G’day folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves today and finally things are getting back to normal here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination on our planet. And I do mean back to normal here on baliwaves.com and most importantly surfwise around Bali.
Firstly we better give Hendra and his Photo Team a big thank you for these latest photos from Uluwatu yesterday. Now, this mornings 7.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs was showing exactly what the swell guys have been calling for. A solid boost in wave height showing in the 4-6ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left (that’s over head to tripple head high on the original wave scale)
Surfing conditions at the time still had plenty of room for improvement as the wind was still blowing light on-shore outta the WNW @ 3-5knot. But now @ 9.30am the ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind has started to kick in and the waves are looking real good. Out on Kuta Reef there were already around 40 surfers in the line-up and I’m sure there’s going to be a lot more yet to get out there, wave height 4-4ft+. Middle Reef had 6 surfers braving it with wave height pushing tripple head high on the sets. None of the usual crowd out at Airport left with the sudden increase in size.
Tidal info for today is calling for a 0.9mtr Low @ and then barely running back in for a 1.7mtr High around 3.30pm.
Weather wise here on the holiday island it’s pure vactation stuff with blue sky and a midday temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius. But I do have to say the mornings and evening are starting to get a bit cooler, for the climatized anyway.
Swell Forecast; Ok it’s good to see the pro’s have got it right with solid waves around today (Tuesday) and I’d have to imaging down at Uluwatu wave height would be somewhere around the 3-4 times over head mark. This swell is only going to keep increasing through out today and peak in size Wednesday, before backing off into the double head high class through Thursday and Friday, Then if everything stays on track another smaller swell generating system will fill back in on Saturday running through till Sunday before yet another swell hits us and pushing the tempo once again.
Ok then crew check out these latest photos (30+) and I’ve also dumped another 10 bodyboarding pics onto that section as well. Have a good one and stay tuned to the baliwaves.com cause there’s gunna be a shit load of reports and photos coming your way.
Best Regards from Bali
Slim
