Kandui Surf Resort,  20th July 09

Well the mantra of the day was patience.  After seeing the swell drop off for sure we conceded to a day here around the resort.  It wasn’t for lack of trying as one boat searched Hider’s , Beng Beng, and Burgerworld in hopes of some clean empty waves.  The rest of the resort enjoyed a gorgeous Mentawaii sunrise and some epic omlettes from our chef Chen.   A bit of a storm rolled through and after the rain subsided, the wind switch gave rifles some ammo.  We mobilized quickly and got some really clean barrels for about 1-2 hours before the sunset.  It was great!  Dinner in the restaurant tasted pretty good watching the photos from a very unexpected session.  Hopefully this next swell arrives soon, we’ll keep you posted.
