****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello crew and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for the latest news on todays surfing and weather conditions here on the perfect surfing holiday island of Bali. And once again a big thank you yo Hendra and his photographic team down at Uluwatu for this new batch of photos.
Well yesterday afternoon around sunset it was already looking like our new swell was dropping off rather than picking up. This morninngs 7.30am surf check of the Outer reefs was infact showing a decrease in size, but still solid enough in the 3-5ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Kuta Reef with the tide on the way in was peeling off perfectly in the chest to over head class. No shortage of surfers in the water with around 40+ at the time. Middle Reef was still hitting the double head high height with the occassional biggger freak set every now and again. Airport Left also had some nice waves in the chest to over head class. I’m also having to think that around the other side of the airport runway Airport Rights would also have some good waves before the Tradewind fully kicks in. Further down toward the southern end of the island there would also be plenty of options from Dreamland right through to Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions this morning couldn’t be any better with the wind coming out of the ESE @ 5-8knot, blowing straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today is saying we will have another solid 2.4mtr High around 11.00am and then running back out for another one of those 0.1mtr reef exposing Low’s.
Weather wise around this part of the island it’s all good with a mainly blue sky, heading for a top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that the boys and girls are going to be getting their moneys worth of waves today. Wave height is still holding in the 5-6ft range and that there were only half a dozen surfers riding the Money Tree’s section at 8.45am.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that; –1AU$=Rp8,225 — 1US$=Rp9,985 —
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp.
I’d also like to give Pat and Brian from www.eventpowerandlight.com.au a huge thank you for there exceptional help for me to be able to purchase a new lap top so these reports can keep flowing. This couple of everyday Aussies not only helped me while they were in Bali but also helped a young Balinese surfer start his own life by helping him to buy his own double outrigger boat and motor becoming his own master in life. Then they backed that straight up by sponsoring another young Balinese student to help his struggling mother who was battling to keep up with his school fee’s. So if your in Australia and you need portable power and light for an event contact Pat and Brian.
Ok folks have a good weekend and stay tuned right here with the baliwaves.com cause we’ll keep it coming. We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
