****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Good morning my friends of the No.1 surfing holiday island of Bali and welcom aboard the baliwaves.com for our Sunday Session on todays surfing and weather conditions. These current photos we have for you today are courtesy of of friends down at Uluwatu, Hendra Surf Photography.
This mornings 8.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs here in down town Tuban was showing wave height to have geared right down into the 1-2ft+ sectore between Kuta Reef and Airport left. The tide was still fairly low at the time and just starting to run back in so Middle Reef was the best section with waist to head high waves. As the tide further fills in Airport Left is going to have some waist to chest high plus waves as well, but Kuta Reef will be for the micro midgets @ knee to waist high.
Looking for a wave elsewhere today your best bet is going to be down on the southern end of the island at Uluwatu for more size and power.
Surfing conditions are once again perfect with the wind coming out of the ESE @ 5-8knot and clean off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today is calling for a 0.3mtr Low @ 6.00am then filling in for a faily solid 2.3mtr High @ midday and then another 0.2mtr Low around the 6.00pm mark.
Weather wise around this part of the island we have more blue sky and sunsine for the beach lovers, heading for a top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius.
Balangan, I’ve just been handed a whole bunch of photos from Balangan and I’ll try and get those edited and online for ya’s later today. They will be found in our Readers Report section.
Sms surf report from Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa was calling a very consistent chest to head high plus on Lakey Peak and perfect conditions through the early morning session. It also mentioned that the Kite Boarders have hit in force with up to 50 at lakey’s. NB: Lakey Peak due to the wind turning cross / on-shore everyday around late morning is a Kita Boarders paradise.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that; –1AU$=Rp8,225 — 1US$=Rp9,985 —
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp.
I’d also like to give Pat and Brian from www.eventpowerandlight.com.au a huge thank you for there exceptional help for me to be able to purchase a new lap top so these reports can keep flowing. This couple of everyday Aussies not only helped me while they were in Bali but also helped a young Balinese surfer start his own life by helping him to buy his own double outrigger boat and motor becoming his own master in life. Then they backed that straight up by sponsoring another young Balinese student to help his struggling mother who was battling to keep up with his school fee’s. So if your in Australia and you need portable power and light for an event contact Pat and Brian.
Ok folks thats us for today have a good one and stay tuned right here with the baliwaves.com cause we’ll keep it coming. We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
