****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the run down on todays surfing and weather conditions from here on your favourite surfing holiday island destination of Bali. And it is a pretty big one we’ve got for you today. First up we can thank Hendra and his Team from down at Uluwatu for these latest photos we have today. Then we can also thanks the guys from the G-Land Surf Camp for dumping a heap of photos taken over at G-land through the last week.
I’d also like to give Pat and Brian from www.eventpowerandlight.com.au a huge thank you for there exceptional help for me to be able to purchase a new lap top so these reports can keep flowing. This couple of everyday Aussies not only helped me while they were in Bali but also helped a young Balinese surfer start his own life by helping him to buy his own double outrigger boat and motor becoming his own master in life. Then they backed that straight up by sponsoring another young Balinese student to help his struggling mother who was battling to keep up with his school fee’s. So if your in Australia and you need portable power and light for an event contact Pat and Brian.
Ok so this mornings surf recon of the Outer Reefs was showing wave height to have backed off a touch from yesterday. But even so there were still some waist to head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Surfing conditions this morning were very clean with the wind coming lightly out of the ESE @ 4-7knot. But as expected for this time of the year has since then increased into the 12-15knot+ strength and turned a bit more to the SE-SSE. Off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today is saying we had a 2.1mtr High @ 9.30am and then later this afternoon around 4.00pm we’ll have a 0.3mtr Low. Tomorrow also see’s a New Moon rising so we will have some decent tidal ranges over the next week.
Swell prediction, Wave height will be backing off over the next few days but still plenty on offer depending on location. Hold onto your hats come the 21st for another solid swell to grace our reefs.
Sms surf report from the G-Land surf camp was calling wave height to be in the perfect 3-5ft+ range this morning. Good clean off-shore wind and 15 surfers out on Money Tree’s.
Ok crew that’s about me for now but don’t forget I’ll have those G-land photos on line for ya’s very shortly. But feel free to drop me an email if you want to stay with us here at Home Base (Tuban) on your next visit to Bali. If you want to get out for some Balinese Sport Fishing, or for info in general and I’ll do my best to help ya out. Now that I’ve got the new lap top running and things are going to get back to normal I’ll be sending out brief surf reports and other ravings through Twitter, so if you haven’t sign up yet get on it.
Best Regards from Bali
Slim
