G-Land Surf Camp
G-Land August 27
G-Land today woke to a very misty morning on the high tide and the wind a little unfriendly. As the day progressed and the tide started to lower the offshore trades kicked in and by 11am things were looking very clean and lining up.The swell maintained its size from the last day in the very nice size between 4-6ft,so some very nice head high to almost double head high waves were rifiling through at Moneytrees till sunset. Was a little busy at times but several surfers took advantage of the lunch break and scored some pretty nice waves to themselves, all up the most people in the line up was about 35 but that was spread over about 400 yards of reef so lots of waves to be had.
Basically from a surfers point of view,a beautiful day in paradise and a great place to hang out, finished off with a magical sunset.
G-Land August 26
G-Land was cloudy overcast most of the day but very comfortable conditions after some very sun filled days gone by.Swell was still around the 4-6ft mark with the odd bigger set every 30 mins or so.Bigger waves were to be had down around Kongs with a few takers enjoying the solitude. The better waves were up into The Ledge and Moneytrees where most were concentrated, crowd numbers are still very manageable with about 30 surfers max spread over the few sections and lots of waves to go round.
A real good vibe around camp and everybody getting along fine and wave sharing a common courtesy which is very welcome here. Some more swell predicted and with the morning large tides about to begin all are amped in preparation for its arrival. Stayed tuned to baliwaves.com for more reports from the Beautiful G-Land.
