BALI
14th August 2013
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the Worlds No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok well seeing as though my guests wanted to try something a little more mellow in the way of waves we headed down to Legian beach to see if we could find ourselves a nice little sand bar to surf. Arriving at 10.00AM just as the tide was at the half way mark and still running in, to find wave height in the 2-4ft class and the wind cross off shore.
I tried to hold back my crew as long as possible, kowing that the beach breaks in Bali work the best on the higher end of the tide, but just couldn’t do it.
My afternoon surf check and sunset beer recon on the Outer Reefs at 5.30PM had wave height still holding in the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. By this time the tide was running out and Middle Reef was producing the best waves.
Weather wise we had a mostly hot and sunny Bali holiday type day with the midday mercury busting into the low 30’s on the Celsius scale.
Our G-land surf report came through at 8.30Am calling in wave height to be in the 2-4ft+ region on Kongs and the Ledge. Clean off shore wind and no surfers in the water at the time.
So if anyone is interested in going over to the legendary left hand wave, G-LAND of East Java contact me and baliwaves.com will hook ya’s up with a solid 10% discount.
Yesterday I also loaded another 109 photos of Padang Padang into our Readers report page that Ketut shot on the 11th of August.
