18th – 19th May 2015
Hello everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the place that you know your going to be scoring perfect waves, in the tropical paradise scenario of BALI.
Ok so this morning we have an 80+ strong photo gallery for ya’s with the first half captured down at Balangan here on Bali’s West Coast yesterday morning. While the second half was shot over on the East Coast of Bali the day before.
So yesterday the 18th and the crew and I headed South down to Balangan to see if we could find some nice waves. Arriving around 8.45AM to find wave height in the 3-4ft+ range with the tide just about on the top but the wind was still a little funky waiting for the Tradewind to kick in. And withing the half hour the Tradey did dedicate to the SE and everything looking rosy. As the tide started to drain out the waves just kept getting better and better and crowd wise there wasn’t too many wave hungry surfers in the line up making it even better. All in all another top day down at Balangan Beach.
Weather wise yesterday it was a mostly sunny day with a cloud or two just passing through.
This morning the 19th and my 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was looking pretty good with 3-4ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, I’m sure Airport Right would have had a few nice one’s as well. Kuta Reef was peeling off some long sections in the head to head high plus class with a good crew already out there. Likewise at Middle Reef there was already maybe 20+ surfers on it and delivering some long and clean walls. Wave height on Airports was a touch smaller and little less frequent with the swell direction more SW.
Ketut has gone cruizing with the camera equipment this morning hoping to hook up with some of the Padma Boys crew. So hopefully well get some more sick photos to show ya’s later on, so stay tuned to the original Bali surf report website.
Weather wise this fine Taco Tuesday it’s looking super good out there this morning with pretty well just blue sky and even now sat 9.15AM starting to warm up. Currently the temperature is on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 72%. Wind direction earlier was NE but the SE Tradewind should be starting to fire up any time from now on.
Pretty soon you’ll be seeing our newest advertiser on site, it’s a sick 46 foot long by 23ft wide catamaran boat that will be offering surfers, divers and fishermen private charters to islands East of Bali including Lembongan, Lombok, Sumbawa, the Gillies and as far East as Komodo Island in full style and comfort. So start getting a group of friends together now.
