BALI
8th – 9th June 2015
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Bali / Indo surf mission since back in 1999) for our latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Hows this latest 70+ photo gallery from Uluwatu we shot on the 8th of June, pretty tubular or what. We made the call to head down to Uluwatu just as the tide was starting to push back in. Arriving at 8.15Am to find 4-6ft waves breaking on Temple’s and the Main Peak. There was even a few sneakers running down through the Racetrack section as well. Surfing conditions were all together nicely with a clean off shore Trade wind that slowly built up momentum through out the day.
Today the 9th and our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing wave height in the 2-4ft class breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Middle Reef had the best waves while the tide was on the lower end of the scale and the wind fresh off shore out of the ESE. But by midday the Tradey was howling up to 20knot making it pretty hard not to get bounced or blown off the wave.
I’d have to imagine that Uluwatu would have been cranking again today. Tomorrow we should still have plenty of waves happening here in Bali but the wind is predicted to be still blowing hard off shore.
Weather wise today it’s been mainly hot and sunny here on the holiday island and that’s pretty much how it’s going to be for the rest of the year.
