BALI / INDONESIA
6th July 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping by the balliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for today’s news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so this mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still showing wave height to be in that 2-3ft range with the odd bigger freak set. That was between Kuta reef and Airport Left with Middle Reef picking up the bigger set waves. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the NW.
So just for some thing different we too a drive over the East Coast to see if there were any sneaky wave breaking at Serangan. Arriving around 8.00AM to find wave height in the 2-4ft range, with clean and glassy conditions. There were only 4 other surfers in the water at the time but it did need a bit more time and tide. But I’m sure there would have been some waves there an hour or two later.
From there we drove a little bit further North to Secrets with has a left and right reef break and a left and right beach break. Arriving around 9.00AM to find wave height in the 2-4ft range but with no surfers in the water. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind very light on shore. So we took the trade off today, not the best waves breaking in Bali I’m sure but no other surfers and plenty of waves, your call.
Weather wise it’s been hot and sunny through the most of it but we did get maybe 10 minutes of rain over on the East Coast, then back to sunshine for the remainder.
