BALI / INDONESIA
30th November 2016
Hello everyone and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (rocking it to you since back in 1999) for another dose of photos and info from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination we all love, Bali.
Ok firstly I want to give a huge thanks to the 28 baliwaves supporters who chipped in for our new camera campaign helping us to raise AU$1,405.00 This is almost enough to get us 1 new camera body but we were also hoping to be able to buy a new lens as well. So with some of the stuff we still have left over we are hoping to get enough to reach our goals by raffling off 2 new surf boards, a 7 day stay with baliwaves.com including daily surf trips etc, plus a 7 day stay in a private villa in Balian. This is for starters and I’m hoping to get more prizes as we go.
It’s going to be AU$50.00 a ticket with a maximum of 65 tickets so that makes pretty good odds for the prizes on offer. Contact me for more details and show us some support if you can. You know we are a little more than just a surf report website, we do our best to get you the highest quality photos from all over the island. Plus keeping you up to date with the local surfing industry news and events.
So right, well this mornings surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban (re Twitter) was showing wave height to have back off a notch between Kuta Reef for 2-3ft waves between Kuta reef and Airports. The wind was also coming light outta the NW and the tide around the mid way and rising mark.
As you can see in today’s photos we made the trek over to the East Coast of Bali to see if we could get lucky at Keramas. Arriving around 8.30AM to find some super clean and glassy 2-3 footers with only 15 surfers in the water. Surfing conditions were still tidy when we packed up maybe around 10.30AM and made the run back home before the rain started.
Our baliwaves.com Surf Cam was also showing slightly smaller lines peeling off at Impossible’s, feel free to check out our free surf cam that actually works anytime you want, (Bali time)
Weather wise it was another super hot and sunny morning with some heavy midday rain thown in to cool things down which is always a welcome relief.
Ok tomorrow it’s my turn to get some waves, I just hope I can still stand up after a week outta the water. So tune in again tomorrow afternoon to see how we went.
Oh yeah, changing dollars to Rupiah, –1US$=Rp13,525 — 1AU$=Rp10,125 —
How can you pass up these exchange rates, get over here and have an even cheaper holiday, maybe buy Slim a beer or two as well bahahahaha.
