**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hey sorry about dropping off-line this morning crew, what happened was that baliwaves.com had exceeded it’s 25gig of bandwidth for this month. That’s a hell of a lot of surfers tuning into the site I tell ya. On average baliwaves.com is viewed by a surfer every 30-40 seconds non stop 24 hours a day. Anyway the problem has been sorted out and we are back in action. Hello surfers and welcome to another day of baliwaves. Let me just assure ya’s that there was hardly anything breaking, surfwise around Bali. The Outer Reefs here in Tuban were producing micro sized perfect little half to one foot ripples while the tide was out and absolutely nothing when the the tide filled bak in. A few of the guests staying with us here at “Home Base” made the trek down to Uluwatu but were pretty dissapointed with the 1-2ft+ waves on offer. This morning the 19th my 6.15am surf recon of the Outer Reefs revealed some nice little waves in the 2-3ft range breaking at Middle Reef while the tide was still at the bottom of the Low. While Kuta Reef and Airport Left were also breaking in the 1-2ft class. The wind direction was coming cleanly off-shore outta the ENE at 3-5knot and will probably swing more to the ESE as the morning burns off. We’ve also got plenty of blue sky upstairs, so another warm to hot holi-day coming our way. I’d say around 9.00-10.00am this morning we should start to see another boost in wave height so there should be plenty of surf happening over the coming days. Me I’m gunna be attending one of my young Balinese friends wedding ceremony later this morning, but I’ll be keeping an eye on the waves and will get back to ya’s later this afternoon if there’s anything exciting going on. Until then have a good day what eva ya got happening and stay tuned to the one and only original Bali surf and weather website.
I have been asked to pass on to the baliwaves.com crew some special prices for anyone who’s been thinking of hitting the Mentawai Islands. A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
