**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello again friends of Bali and thanks for dropping back around to the baliwaves. Well like I mentioned earlier the Outer Reefs of Tuban were not producing a lotta wave power today. But there were waves being rode on Middle Reef through the bottom of the tide. I counted around 10 surfers out there catching waves upta shoulder high plus on the sets. Airport Left also had some traffic with another 10-12 surfers, hoping for the best of the small waves to come their way. One of the surfers staying with us here at “Home Base” Bali headed South for Uluwatu this morning so I’ll have the news on conditions down that way when he gets back. The wind has increased into the 6-10knot strength, still blowing off-shore outta the ESE. There has been some cloud blowing over but basically weather wise it’s been another great day for anyone here on holidays with the temperature maxing out around 33 degree’s Celcius (outta the shade). Looks like we got a few more days to go before the next round of solid waves begins, so I might have to get some sport fishing in I think. There has been quite a few good sized Spanish Mackerel bitting lures of late. Ok that’s what’s been happening around here so far today, currently here in Bali the time is 3.45pm. Tune in again tomorrow for more indepth reports on Bali’s surf and weather conditions. Talk to ya’s in the morning !
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning crew and welcome back to another week of baliwaves. Hey, there were some nice waves happening down at Uluwatu yesterday what do ya reckon. Check out these new photos that we shot down there using the 1000mm and 13.7mega pixel outfit. I didn’t get down there till 10.45am as I was stalling as long as I could waiting for the tide to get towards the bottom, and the Racetrack to start breaking. Even though it wasn’t an optimum tide range there were still some deep throated barrels being pulled into. The Main Peak had around 25+ surfers scoring set waves still pushing the solid 5ft range, while further down at Temple’s wave height was 3-4ft with 8 surfers. The tide was a touch low for Temple’s, but every now and then you’d see someone get a screamer. Coming back home there was nothing happening at Padang Padang, but there were a few 1-3ft lines going down the reef at Impossible’s. Today the 24th and @ 6.15am the Outer Reefs of Tuban were only pulling in 1-2ft+ of swell while the tide was up. Kuta Reef was hardly breaking @ 1-1ft+ with no one out. Middle Reef was showing some hope for when the tide runs out with 1-2ft+ waves breaking, no one out. Airport Left was also looking pretty sad at only 1 foot, no one out. The wind was coming outta the ENE @ 3-5knot and pretty well straight off-shore here along the West Coast of Bali. Earlier this morning there was some heavy looking cloud about but has now moved on. Right now @ 7.30am it’s looking good for more fantastic holiday weather, the temperature is on 24 degree’s Celcius and will reach the 30’s by midday. The water temperature couldn’t be much better I don’t think, @ 23.5 Celcius. So with all that info you’d know that Uluwatu would be just about be your best bet to find a wave with any kinda power today. I also have to say there were a few good lid riders out on the Main Peak yesterday, and for those interested ya can see some new photos of the action on the bodyboard page. Actually, it was all happening down there yesterday, the No.1 World ranked wave ski rider, Neil Decker, was also doing some pretty amazing stuff on his machine. Alright folks that’s about it for this mornings session, stay tuned what eva ya do as there’s always something new on baliwaves.com, 7 days a week. How about you how you doing, you got your Bali flight tickets booked yet, or what. Take care, and catch ya’s L8R.

A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice . How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
