East Coast Surf Report – Friday 3rd April 2026
Ketut was over on the East Coast this morning and found fun 3ft waves rolling through, with a few bigger ones on the sets. Light offshore winds kept things clean early, and there was enough push in the swell to give the better waves a bit of shape.
Around 15 surfers were out, spread across the break, so it felt active without being too crowded. The sets had a bit more size to them and kept everyone moving, especially as the tide started to fill in through the morning. That push in the tide helped the waves line up a little better and hold their shape as the session went on.
Traffic getting out there was a bit heavier than usual, so worth getting on the road early if you’re chasing that cleaner window. Once you were in the water though, conditions stayed steady with the offshore holding and plenty of waves coming through.
Weather & Tides
Right now it’s sitting around 27C with overcast skies and light winds around the island. It feels pretty typical for this time of year, warm with a bit of cloud hanging around.
Today’s tide filled in from an early morning low into a mid-morning high, which lined up nicely with the session. It drops again into a late afternoon low around 5:13pm before pushing back in tonight. Tomorrow follows a similar pattern with an early low around 5am and a high around 11:30am, setting up another decent morning window.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead, the swell forecast shows the swell holds in that 3ft range through the weekend with enough consistency to keep the East Coast ticking over. There’s a bit more energy starting to show early next week which should help the waves stand up a little more, especially on the better tides. Nothing major, but enough to keep things fun if you’re timing those early sessions before the wind starts to move.
