**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves. Firstly I better give ya’s the quick run down on what was happening down at Uluwatu yesterday, that’s where these current photographs were shot. I arrived down there at 10.00am to find 2-4 foot waves breaking on the Main Peak and Temple sections. The tide was running in at full speed and the Main Peak was getting real fat and full with around a dozen or so surfers on it. Temple’s was producing the best waves and the occassional tube ride being scored. Wind direction was coming outta the SE @ 4-6knot so surfing conditions were pretty clean and smooth. Coming back home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s I didn’t see any sign of surf. The Outer Reefs also had a few sly waves breaking on Middle Reef in the 1-3ft range as the tide ran out towards late afternoon. I also loaded another 10 fresh images on to the Bodyboarding page, for those that care. Today the first day of May and at 6.30am my first view of the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height was still breaking in the 1-2ft+ range in between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still pretty Low so the only place that was looking surfable was out on Middle Reef, no one out surfing yet. The wind was coming lightly outta the NNE @ 0-1knot and will more than likely swing further around to the ESE as the day gets underway. I’d imagine Temples at Uluwatu would be a good bet for some waves again today. Outside it’s another fine day full of blue sky and warm weather for the crew currently holidaying on Bali. Ok then, I’ll be keeping an eye on what’s happening down at the beach and will fill ya in on any changes later this afternoon. Have a top day and who knows, maybe we’ll be seeing you here in Bali soon hey. L8R.
A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
