**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning reef riders and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves again today. Yesterday I made the run down to Uluwatu and as ya can see in photo 1 there was some action going down. The tide was still a bit full at first so most of the surfers (around 30+) were riding the Main Peak section. But as the tide started to run out the Racetrack was producing some long an high speed type waves. I didn’t set up the 1000mm / SLR combo because not long after we arrived it started pissing down rain. what I did manage to do, was shoot enough DV to make ya’s 3 new video clips, two of them are already running (video1,2). I’ll load up the 3rd one in a minute (video 3), plus I’ve even got a new video clip for the bodyboarders. Make sure ya check em out if you want to get a clif side sample of the Racetrack. Today what we have is another slight increase in wave size on the Outer Reefs. I was down there taking a look at 6.30am and there were already surfers in the water at Middle Reef getting waves in the 2-3ft+ range. Kuta Reef wasn’t quite big enough but Airport Left had the odd 2-3 footer. The next tide is going to be a High of 2.3 mtrs between 9.00 and 10.00am then the Low tide later this afternoon happening between 3.00-4.00pm @ 0.4 mtrs. Plenty of blue sky to start the day off, the wind was coming lightly outta the ENE @ 1-3 knot but should turn more ESE by late morning. I’d imagine while the tide is high this morning, places like Canggu and the famous beach breaks of Half Way or Padma st would be worth a paddle. Then there’s always gunna be the Racetrack down at Uluwatu later this afternoon on the low tide. So there’s plenty of options for those wanting to get some surfing in. Just like yesterday, todays temperature will surely make it to 31-32 degree’s Celcius and the water temp is still sitting around 20-21 degree’s Celcius. Now what more would you be expecting on your holiday time ? ron.
