**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning crew, well I certainly got it wrong yesterday in regards to what way the wind would turn to.. It did in fact swing right around to the WEST blowing on-shore for most of the day, so no trip to Uluwatu for me. Pretty weird, here we are in the middle of the Dry Season and we get on-shore conditions, beats me. Anyway this morning the 13th. When I was doing our surf recon of the Outer Reefs of Tuban @ 6.30am wave height has raised the bar again. Kuta Reef was bending in 2-4 footers but the tide was way too low at the time, but will probably be one of the better options around mid morning on-wards. Middle Reef had 3-4+ of swell but was looking a bit shifty and tending to close down a bit sooner than it normally does. Airport Left like KR will also improve with the in coming tide which is a 2.5mtr High @ 12.00 noon. Then we’ll get another reef exposing 0.1mtr Low water level around sunset time. The wind, well this morning it was already pretty fresh outta the SSE @ 4-8knot. The sky is dark and we could be in for some morning showers around these parts of the island before too long. Hopefully it’ll clear away by lunch time so we can get the camera gear out. Ok what we got for now is plenty of waves breaking all along Bali’s West Coast and the swell is still building. Looks like a good weekend coming for the surfers already on the island, or in position to the East or West of us. I’ll be back later with a full wrap on Bali’s surfing scene later this arvo. Best Regards from 9 degree’s South of the Equator, on Tropical Bali.
