**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks, welcome back to a fresh week of baliwaves. This morning we’ve been left with a cloudy sky from last nights rain but it shouldn’t be too long before it moves on leaving the blue behind. I made it down for my first surf recon of the Outer Reefs around 6.30am. The first High tide for today went down at 5.00am so there was still enough water covering Kuta Reef and Airports for the dawn patrol crew who was already in position. Wave height was still a respectible 3-4ft on Kuta Reef and Airports with Middle Reef getting some sets upta double head high (5ft). Wind direction was blowing cross/on-shore coming outta the N-NW @ 3-5knot and will more than likely swing around to the SSE-SE and more off-shore for the Outers by lunch time (as it did do yesterday). We’ve got a Low tide of 0.8mtrs @ 11.00am and then running back in for another 1.4mtr High around 5.30pm. We’re pretty well smack in the middle of the moon phase at the moment so bugger all difference in the tide range over the next few days. The East coast would have right handers on tap this morning while the wind is still light. So there’s something out there for everyone in Bali, goofy or natural. I’ve also heard a few reports of those little electric shock type purple jelly fish turning up on the reef breaks so make sure ya got a long sleaved rashie, just in case. I dunno whats going on today, but at the very least I’ll be loading another 30-40 photos into the OCTOBER GALLERY. Ok then I hope you have a good one out there, cause I’m certain that the crew here on Holiday will be. Best Regards from Your favourite holiday destination of Bali.
