**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning groovers and welcome back to the baliwaves for the daily run down of Bali’s surf and weather conditions. This morning when I went down for a look at the ocean it was no surprise to see wave height was still down in the 1 foot range between Kuta Reef and Airports. Well at least it hasn’t gotten any smaller I suppose ! With the next tide being a 0.5mtr Low happening @ 11.00am I don’t think there’s gunna be any waves surfed on the Outer Reefs today. Wind direction was coming outta the WNW @ 1-3knot and on-shore along Bali’s West side. We might see another change in direction by lunch time and my guess is it’s gunna tend more to the SSE, but we’ll have to wait and see hey. Apart from the small waves at least we got another excellent day of weather coming on and now @ 8.00am I’d say we already have around 26 degree’s Celcius of temperature outside. If anyone’s looking for me later on I’ll be out snorkelling on Kuta Reef. For anyone in the desperate for a wave catagory today I still reckon there’d be a few waist to head high waves down at Uluwatu. Yandai (Team Baliwaves) surfed up at Padma St / Legian yesterday but said it was a bit small at waist high, and Yandai only stands around 5’7″ and weighs around 60kgs.. If your wondering what the dollar exchange rates are like: –1US$=Rp9,100 — 1AU$=Rp6,950 — 1NZ$=Rp6,075 — Just to give ya’s an example or two of what things cost around here; 1 bottle of soft drink costs around Rp2,000 – a large bottle of beer costs around Rp11,000 – a packet of smokes costs around Rp8,000 – a small hire car for the day costs around Rp80,000 – So those holiday dollars are gunna go a long way. Alright then make the most of what eva ya got on today and start organising your friends and planning your next Indonesian tube fest now !
Hey, good news . We’re almost there with Orphan Scholarship / Sponsorship Program !!! It looks I’ve found an organisation that offers a couple of different types of sponsorships. One way is to sponsor a child just for schooling needs and essientials, and the other way is to sponsor a family to “adopt a child” so the kid gets to live in a family scene and gets to go to school.
