**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew and thanks for dropping in. Well the clean surfing conditions we had through the early am on the Outer Reefs never really stuck around for too long. By 9.00am wind direction had shifted more around to the West, and now @ 4.30pm has gone even further around to the S-SSE. Wave height is still hanging in there @ 2-3ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airports so there’s still hope for tomorrow morning. I’m thinking about doing the first light run down to Uluwatu so if ya don’t see an early morning surf up-date tomorrow ya know i won’t be too far away. I can feel an afternoon dip in the ocean coming on for me right now, I tell ya’s it’s been bloody hot today and the beach has been the only place to be ! See ya’s soon.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves. I was down for the 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs and there were some nice little waves coming through between Kuta Reef and Airports with wave height in the 2-4ft range. The tide was almost at the top of a 1.7mtr High that’s set for 7.30am. Kuta Reef was peeling through 3 footers (head high) that were running for a good 100yrds, and all un-ridden. There were a couple of surfers out at Center Reef and they were also getting some long walled 3 footers. I didn’t notice anyone out at Middle Reef yet, and if the wind stays light and calm like it is now there should be some nice 2-4 footers on the outgoing tide. Airport Left had a handful of surfers receiving shoulder to head high plus waves. There was bugger all wind earlier, only just detectable coming outta the North, and only God know’s where she’ll end up coming from as the morning moves along. Yesterday it musta changed direction at least 4 times. I’ll be keeping track of the wind and if there’s any chance of getting clean conditions down at Uluwatu’s supreme low tide tube section called the Racetrack, I’ll be there ! The next Low tide by the way is set for around 1.30pm and Uluwatu should be picking up 3-5 foot of swell (up to double head high). Weather wise there is a bitta cloud fluffing about but pre-dominantly blue sky showing and it’s just gunna be another hot and sunny beach day here in Bali. Ok hook in and get some work done before the weekend hits, we’ll be keeping the reports and photos flowing through it so drop by anytime for the latest Bali surf and weather info available. Remember anytime’s a good time to start organising your friends for your next indonesian surfing adventure !
