**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves, then again, where else are ya’s gunna get this kinda stuff for free ? Just joking and I’m stoked ya’s are here ! How was the Racetrack yesterday afternoon, it was cranking, that’s what it was. I never arrived on location until around 12.00pm (just as the tide was starting to drain off the reef). There were around 40 surfers down at Ulu but spread out from Temple’s through Main Peak and then down on the Racetrack section. Wave height was indeed pushing double head high or 5ft on the surfer scale. And as usual local surfers Made Lapur and Made lana along with a couple of the up-an-coming younger grommets were ruling the waves (not Britania). I hung out down at Ulu until around 3.30pm, yeah 3 hrs standing out in the open Tropical sun was enough. But according to a couple of surfers I was talking to last night reckoned the Racetrack went absolutely perfect for the sunset session. I’m pretty happy with yesterdays results cause I even managed to blow the cob webs outta my DV cam and shoot ya’s some new video clips (video 1 video 2) and I’ll try and get another one or two loaded up this morning. The bodyboarders also got some new images on there page and there’s a video clip coming for you guys and girls as well. I think everyone should check out the bodyboard page, because there was this freak out there riding a lid stand up style, with style ! Back to the present, today the 21st of November and when I went down for the 7.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs I was a bit surprised to see 2-4 footers breaking between Kuta Reef down to Airports. All the charts I been looking at were showing a decrease in wave size today. Can’t complain though ! There were some real nice looking head waves peeling across Kuta Reef, but no one out. Middle Reef i saw a couple of 4 footers (over head) roll through there, but no one out. Same down at Airport Left, waves in the 1-3 foot class, but no one out. Uluwatu would be going off, ya can count on that, with 2-5 footers on all 3 main sections and for sure there’d be surfers in the water. Wind direction earlier was coming outta the WNW and lightly on-shore in the 1-2knot class, not strong enough to take the shine of the waves though. The next tide is gunna be a 1.9mtr High filling in around 11.00am then running out for a 0.6mtr Low level @ 5.00pm. The sky is virtually cloud free again this morning and we’re gunna be in for more prefect beach weather here in Bali. Ok there’s surfing options galore here in Bali today, take ya pick of the East or West Coasts with wave height up to double head high at the better locations. Me… I’m gunna be stuck in this box making sure baliwaves.com is loaded up full of Holiday Inciting Material. Have a good one out there what eva ya got planned and tune in again later this afternoon for the wrap on how it was surf and weather wise around Bali. And, you know ! Anytime’s a good time to start organising your friends for your next indonesian surfing adventure.
