**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Gday again folks and I thought I’d just get back to ya’s and quickly let ya know that the wind has remained on-shore coming outta the W-SW @4-8knot all day. Wave height though is still rocking through in the 2-5ft range between Kuta Reef and Airports. You never know though we might get that later arvo off-shore “happy hour” before dark. Even though it is on-shore I did see a surfer get a nice wave out at Kuta Reef milking it for a good 100yrd plus ride, I think it was the Tinman. Anyway right now the clock has just gone 4.00pm and the outside temperature would still be pushing 30 degree’s Celcius. Don’t forget to take a look at the latest additions I’ve loaded into the Surfing Gallery, ya never know who’ll ya see in those gallery pages. Hey and what about all those video clips hey, from now on well be leaving every video clip I produce on baliwaves and not just over writting the old with the new. I tell ya’s, YA AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET BABY !!! Cheers.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning to you surfers tuning into the baliwaves this good looking Tuesday. I better correct yesterdays afternoon up-date first. I filed that report around 4.30pm, at 5.00pm the wind switched back to the ESE-SE and straight off-shore on the Outer Reefs. Kuta Reef was absobloodylutely cranking @ 3-4ft with perfectly tapper’d walls. This morning the 28th and wave height has boosted again on the Outers, into the 3-5ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airports. I had my first look at the ocean at 6.45am and surfing conditions were clean and smooth. The tide was still running out for a 0.5mtr Low set to bottom out around 9.30-10.00am. Middle Reef was looking the best and had some solid set waves in the 3-5ft+ class and better suited to the falling tide, and 3 surfers out there. Kuta Reef also had a few takers in the water but looking a bit sketchy, Kuta Reef tends to double suck when there’s not enough tide and that’s what it was doing. I even saw two different surfers get pitched in a matter of 10 minutes of watching. There’d also be plenty of swell hitting the southern end of the island and I reckon Bingin would have some class waves when the clock hits Low tide. I’m also thinking that Kuta Reef and Airports will be smoking when the tide rolls back in for a 1.7mtr High around mid afternoon. That’s if the wind co-operates, earlier there was no wind. But now @ 8.15am she’s just starting to pick up some momentum coming outta the West @ 2-4knot and light on-shore. Weather wise outside, we’ve got nothing but blue sky penciled in for today ! I dunno what I’m gunna get upto today, but maybe first I’ll load up another 50 or so photo’s into this months surfing GALLERY, then take it from there hey. More good news dept: As you lot know we’ve been running a promo for a non profit organisation that help out Orphaned Balinese children from the poorest districts of Bali. Well I received some feed back from Carol Sasak (founder) yesterday thanking baliwaves and all the people who have been in contact with her wanting to help the children get some schooling and to be part of a normal family. Carol has also told me that while she has been out of office her PC dumped 100’s of emails, lost the lot. So if anyone has been trying to contact Carol PLEASE try again and you will get through to her. I’d like to thank the good people who have offered to help turn around the lives of these poor little kids, THANKS CREW !!!! While I’m at it Mr Tony Garcia who is the author of some great surfing related (fiction) books has donated a heap of his latest novels for me to give away to anyone who can take part in sponsoring a Balinese Orphan. These books are a good read (red em all) and relate to surfing around, Bali / G-Land / South America and a heap of other locations. So drop me a line and I’ll send ya some books ! You can also check Tony’s website for a look at his work at www.soldierboy.com If anyone out there has a good product that’s made for travelling surfers you should drop me an email and we’ll help ya target your market. This year we had a heap of drama’s with the running of baliwaves.com and we were still managing to attract 70,000 unique viewers per month and up ta 20,000 page views per day. I think we’ve got a good product ! So drop us a line. Now’s a good time to start organising your friends for your next indonesian surfing adventure in ’07.

Please take a look at this website: www.ihfonline.org These people have been providing this kind of help to the less fortunate for a long time and have been doing a great job. If you are interested in being a part of this program but have some questions send an email to the founder of I.H.F; [email protected] and I’m sure Carol will be able to give you the answers. Thanks again crew !!
