**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hey crew, oh well looks like the trip to Lakey peak has been put off for awhile. I’ve had reports from the local crew over there that the swell just hasn’t been getting in there and still not showing today. You know if your interested in getting over to Lakey Peak make sure ya send me an email and I’ll give ya all the relevent info needed to score good waves and make the trip worth while. I tell ya’s ya don’t want to be going over there if the tides are wrong, that’s just for starters ! Because normally on any given day at Lakey’s your really only surfing on the High tide through the morning before the wind comes through and blows it out cross-shore for the kite surfers. Anyway I’ll give ya’s more info on Lakeys as we go along, I’ve personally been over there through every month of the year. So I’ve got a pretty good idea on conditions etc etc. Ok looking at these photos I shot this afternoon down on Uluwatu’s Racetrack section between 1.00-3.30pm ya wouldn’t wanna be anywhere but Bali ! There was only a total of 15 surfers in the water while I was on the scene. Wave height was coming through in the head high plus range (2-4ft) but a little in-consistent at times. But when they did come through it was Tube City for the takers. Enjoy the photos for now and I’ll be back first thing in the morning with the latest rundown on Bali’s surfing and weather conditions. Take care out there !
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and thanks for dropping in for the complete run down on Bali’s surfing and weather conditions. This morning I took my obligitory look at the Outer Reefs around 6.30am and everything was on track for another good day of surfing coming up. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports was breaking in the 2-4ft+ range. The tide was still too Low for Kuta Reef or Airports but Middle Reef was streaming through waves almost upta double head high. The wind this morning was coming straight outta the North for starters so the crew up at Canggu will be enjoying some off-shore wind for a change. But more likely than not will make another directional change by mid morning. The tide should be at the top of a 2.1mtr High around 11.00am this morning so Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right should have some fun little waves on offer co-inciding. Me I’ve gotta finish packing up my camera and video equipment and get my butt down to the airport pronto. That’s right folks we’ll be taking baliwaves.com over to the island of Sumbawa, East of Bali, so stay tuned and you’ll be getting full coverage live from lakey Peak. So if you’ve been thinking about a trip to Lakeys hold ya horses and I’ll have all the in’s and out’s ya need ta know, so get ready ! Alright then make the most of what eva ya got on today and start organising your friends and planning your next Indonesian tube fest now !
