**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello friends of Bali, thanks for calling in for a look at surf and weather conditions at your favourite holiday destination. Ok well there wasn’t much happening down the beach this morning when I went down for the 6.30am surf check. There were waves breaking but only in the half to maybe one foot range and best suited for a 12ft mal, if ya get my drift. Nothing happening on Kuta Reef or Middle Reef for that matter and only Airport left was picking up the odd one footer. The tide was still running in for a 1.8mtr High happening around 8.00am so I don’t think surfing conditions on the reefs are gunna be improving any. I’d say the best bet for a paddle (if ya had to that is) would be up along the many beach breaks in the Kuta to Legian area. The next Low tide is set down for around 1.30-2.00pm and will only be bottoming out @ 0.8 of a metre, so don’t count any there anything at all worth surfing when that time comes around, unfortunately. The wind direction was coming lightly outta the West when I was down there @ 0-1knot, so surfing conditions (if there were any waves) are clean, smooth and glassy on both sides of the island. Weather wise around the Kuta / Tuban area’s this morning we did get around 20 minutes worth a rain earlier and we may still be in for a few more drops later this afternoon. The outside temperature is still gunna be up around the high 20’s with the humidity level red lining. Me I’ve just come off a 4 day fishing binge and I think it’s time to have a bit of a blow, but I will find time to load ya’s up some fresh images of the sorta waves that ya want to see from Bali. I also hope that the surfer/fisho sector of baliwaves.com had a flick through the fishing page, as I just typed up a quick report from the 1st Bali Open Trolling Event that went down last weekend. Before I pack up this morning (8.30am Bali time) I better keep up with a few Hello’s to some more of my good friends out there; G’Day to Geoff Crane & Family, Simon Exely (sorry if I spelt ya name wrong Simon), WDT alias Acks-man. And a special hello to my Dear O’l Mum. By for now !
