**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hey MERRY CHRISTMAS first up and I hope ya’s have been having a good one full of family and friends where eva ya may be. Well as I mentioned the other day about there being a few Chrissy waves, that’s what we got. When I went down for the surf recon @ 8.30am I was pretty happy to see some 1-3 footers peeling through on Kuta Reef. There were even 3 or 4 surfers out there and there was the odd 100yrd ride going down. That’s the beauty of Kuta Reef, it’s not only one of the most perfectly shaped waves but they are also long walled given ya around that magic 100yrds worth of fun. Middle Reef was also breaking in the 2-3ft+ range and a few more surfers in the water gettin into em. Airport Left, same again only she had the most people on it. Early the wind was coming outta the WSW @ 2-5knot and on-shore along Bali’s west coast then some time around 1.00pm she swithched to the SE and clean off-shore from Uluwatu to Legian. I was also talking to one of the Tuban local surfers (Koming) after he just came back from surfing at Keramas up in the Gianyar area and he reckoned it was absolutely perfect in the 2-3ft+ class (head to head high plus) and only 10 surfers sharing it. LAKEY PEAK / SUMBAWA daily SMS surf report from our man on the scene says. Wave height has also jumped into the 3-4ft class with only light and variable wind making surfing conditions clean and smooth. (I can picture those perfect left and rights peeling off) Made also says that one new guest arrived today at Lakai taking the number of guests to a massive total of 10. Back to Bali and we’ve had another hot and humid day weather wise, there were a few drops of rain that fell for about 1 minute and it’d be a safe bet to say that we’ll see some showers coming down later tonight, there’s that “smell of rain still to come” in the air. Ok just a short one for now cause hey it is Chrissy and I wanna go and have a few Chrissy drinks with the boys (arak). Take care and drop by anytime cause we’ve always got something new on here everyday of the week.
