Bali Surf Report – August 20 2007

MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello out there and welcome back for the start of new surfing week here on the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report station. Well hopefully a surfing week, but if the charts are on the ball we should have some waves happening sometime in the next 48-72hrs . This morning @ 7.00am when I went down for my first surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban it was maybe even smaller than yesterday. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was lucky to be breaking at 6 inches . The tide was still running out for a 0.5mtr Low scheduled to bottom out between 8.00-9.00am. And when the tide rolls back in for a 1.8mtr High around 1.30pm it’ll be like a lake out there. Nothing wrong with the wind direction, she was coming outta the ESE-SE @ 10-14knot and straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu . Another cloudy and grey start to the day but more than likely it’ll turn out like yesterday and be another hot and sunny day by midday. If you had to try and find some waves today your best bet would be to south to Uluwatu in hope of something in the 1-2ft class. Or maybe wait for the tide to fill in and have another search along the Kuta to Legian stretch of beach breaks . But on the other hand times like these are perfect for getting out and about and checking out some more of Bali other than the beaches. Me I’ve already gassed up the fuel tank for my little double outrigger fishing boat. Ok then have a good one even if it is Monday and your not already here in Bali . If there any changes around Bali ’s reef and beach’s don’t worry cause you’ll be the first to know .
