Bali Surf Report – September 9 2007

MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and thanks for dropping in for the baliwaves.com SUNDAY SESSION . And true to form seeing as though it is indeed Sunday the surf is cranking out there. I just got back from sussing out conditions on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban, and there’s plenty of swell hitting all sections of the Outers. The tide was about an hour away from the top of a 1.9mtr High set for 8.30am and then is gunna be dropping down for a 0.7mtr Low through the mid afternoon. Kuta Reef @ 7.00am already had a solid and still building crowd of surfers in the line-up with waves peeling off in the 2-3ft+ class. Middle Reef was looking the goods on the receiving end of a more solid 3-4ft+ set waves. And Airport Left had 2-3 footers for the crew looking for the more mellow type reef break. I’d also have to visualize that Airport Right would have a few head to head high plus waves breaking. The wind was only light at the time I was on the sand and coming outta the NNE @ 2-5knot . That’ll be corrected to a Tradewind strength ESE-SE direction by mid morning. Weather wise it’s shaping up pretty good but there’s still a little bit of cloud about for now. Dewa made and I will be making some tracks down south to Uluwatu around 8.30am to see what’s happening down there, and we’ll be taking the camera equipment to document it for ya’s. I also had an early morning sms from my friend John Mc at 5.45am who was over at Sanur Reef and just about to paddle out to an empty line-up of 3-5 footers . So the story this morning is that there’s waves happening all over the island of Bali . Ok so call back later this afternoon and we will have more photos and surf info to give ya’s.
