Bali Surf Report – October 16 2007

**** Howdy crew and welcome back to the baliwaves.com Daily Surf and Weather Report website . This morning I was up early and down checking on the waves at 5.45am just as the sun was rising. Wave height on the Outer Reefs has improved today with 2-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was still running out for a 0.2mtr Low at 7.00am . The wind direction was coming outta the North @ 2-3knot , but will more than likely be variable as the day gets going. Too shallow on Kuta Reef or at Airports but Middle Reef was producing some nicely shaped 2-3 footers (head high) . No surfers in sight at that time of the morning but I’m sure there will be one or two out there by now (8.00am). Scott Thompson is already on location down at Uluwatu and has sms’d through that there’s gunna be some good waves down there today. Wave height at Ulu is in the 2-3ft+ range and when the tide turns and starts it’s run in for the 1.9mtr High scheduled for 1.30pm it should even be a touch bigger down there. Dewa Made is also intransit to Ulu with the video camera so when I get back from the in-laws tomorrow I’ll get ya’s some new photos and video to check out ok. Weather wise today it’s just another blah blah blah, hot day coming on here on the happy holiday island of Bali . Ok then folks just a quick one today cause I gotta get out on the streets and try and find a car to rent and hit the road for the mountains.
