AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and beach goers, and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report website . Well this morning seeing as though wave height had well and truelly boosted here on the Outer Reefs I thought I had better take advantage of it and go get some of them waves for myself. I did the 6.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs to find that wave height had jumped into the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was still running out for a 0.3mtr Low , set for around 8.00am. No wind at that time so surfing conditions were clean and glassy . I grabbed a couple of the surfers staying here at Home Base and we heading for Middle Reef, seeing as the tide was still too low for Kuta Reef or Airports. There was already 7 surfers in the water at Middle’s had set waves pulsing through at 4 foot . We surfed out there for three quarters of an hour before deciding to flag down one of my reef taxi friends and cruised back to see what Kuta Reef was doing. KR already had 4 surfers out and it was still pretty shallow with only a couple of feet of water covering the reef. But as the tide was starting to run in there was some fun waves coming through in the waist to head high class . Around 10.00am the wind started to increase in strength coming outta the South and on-shore @ 4-7knot. Dewa Made was down at Uluwatu with the video camera, he was calling 5 foot on the set waves down at Ulu when the tide was running in. But he also reckoned there were no surfers in the water wanting them, go figure that out. I’ll check out the footage and see if I can cut ya’s a new video clip or two for tomorrow. Weather wise today it’s been hot and humid and the midday sun was best avoided, with the temperature busting the mid 30’s on the Celsius scale once again. Ok then, good to see a bitta swell gracing our reefs and beachs, lets just hope she hangs around for tomorrow. Have a good one what ever you’ve got happening out there and stay tuned to the one and only Original Bali Surf and Weather website.
